![]() The Windows CPU Usage meter shows average CPU load of about 5%. ![]() With buffer size set to 64, real time peak load on the Cubase VST Performance meter fluctuates rapidly between about 50% and 80%, with occasional excursions to 90% and above momentarily (into the yellow and red at rare moments, even setting off the clipping warning.) While the average load sits at about 30% to 35%. I also open the Windows Task Manager and go to the Performance tab to watch the CPU load in real time of all 8 cores. No instruments or mics are connected to the UFX. I open Cubase - not even a project loaded. HP Z800 pc with dual Xenon octo-cores (so 16 cores total) 2.8Ghz, running Windows 7圆4 At low latencies, I'm shocked by seeing the Cubase "VST Performance" meter peaking into the red while doing nothing. I'm wondering if something's going on with my rig, or not.
